Injury not as bad as first thought and should be fit for Wigan if not sooner!!!

He was doing what he does best - getting in amongst it, putting his foot in and breaking up their rythm. Once he has the ball, as long as he does the simple things then we're ok, but he still does have a tendency to give it away cheaply to often.
If he can maintain the level of performance he showed on Saturday though, he can do a job for us.
Fair comment, but it was a case of needs-must. We didn't have a whole lot of options on the bench to replace Charlie in the middle, and Hinsh was simply not as effective at breaking up their play.kinkygerbil said:the reason we suffered was because they put hinsh in the middle.
i still dont think he is good enough

Oatway never has and never will be a creative midfielder who sprays the ball around, but in his limited capacity, he can be effective as a spoiler in the middle of the park. Thats not always going to be enough in this division, but he certainly won't get any grief from me if he plays like he did on Saturday.

Charlie is always first to get a roasting when we lose but he does his job well. He's a grafter and a terrier and a character. He's done a brilliant job for us over the years and it's only when he's expected to ping the ball about like the playmaker he isn't that he's come unstuck.
