After a certain Mr Oatways performance today were are all the people who slagged him off all of last season?

I thought he gave a Captains performance today, and deservedly got man of the match.

Another typical 100 per cent performance you would expect from Charlie.
Shows how much we need a large squad of players for this level.
Well done Charlie lets hope he stays playing at that standard.I am sure he will in this division.

I wouldn't describe myself as a Charlie 'hater', but I admit I did groan when I heard his name read out as captain before kick-off.

Today, however, he rammed many of my words thoroughly down my throat. I thought he was excellent, chased everything, got stuck in and generally marshalled the team superbly.

Still don't think he'd get in ahead of either Jolly or Chippy, but he went a long way this afternoon to convincing me that he has got a part to play in our title push.

Good stuff, Chaz.

Heard you spouting the same nonsense on Ian Hart's show, FG.

I have been a big critic of Charlie for the past two seasons, but today he gave his best performance for a very long time. Clearly Div 2 is a standard he is more suited to.

Agree about the short corner nonsense (but he took a couple of excellent long ones), but credit where credit is due ... he did well today.

Totally committed to the Albion, a true 100%er. Why does he like short corners so much though?

I dont hate Charlie, far from it.
However with a fully fit squad he wouldnt get near the side.

Have him in the dressing room for sure though.

i dont hate him at all. i just really dont rate him. went to watch chelt-kidderminster today, and chelt had 2 or 3 midfielders who were better than charlie. he gives 100%, he just isnt very good.

Best Oatway performance for sometime. Personally I don't hate him, I like anyone that plays well for the stripes. I am, however, yet to be convinced that he can produce so form on a regular basis at this level. Div 3 was the only time he was consistantly good. Always tries hard, hope he keeps it up.

I love Charlie! Always enjoy seeing him play as you know he's gonna give 110%. Only time he's played better than he did today was at home against Portsmouth last year.

Charlie Oatway is a legend. Our squad would be weaker without him. He's a good honest pro who gives his all. As if I have said a thousand times.
