The guy's a prize f***ing prick. Causes endless trouble in the dressing room and most of his team mates don't like him, mainly down to his shitty attitude.

I used to play against him, he's a good player, yes, But an utter **** as well.

I've heard that before actually. Doesn't sound like a Gus type of player.

Too much of a Playboy. Same age as barnes and if Barnes had played as a out and out striker all season would of socred more than 16 goals imo. All this talk about strikers. I think the only time all season CMS and Barnes played together as two strikers(neither playing wide) was the second half against Leeds and they tore them a new one. We have the perfect potential pairing, again imo.

Sounds familiar. He'll end up playing for Coleraine and Glentoran then, by the sounds of it

Alternatively, if you're looking for an 'Austin-esque' signing. I would suggest having a look at Jamie White. He's ex-Southampton, currently playing for Winchester in the Wessex league and literally tearing it a new one, more so than Austin did with Poole. He nearly made it with us when we were last in the championship, however he suffered a ligament injury and subsequently got released. He dropped down the leagues and even out of football for a period of time before signing for Winch. He is playing well below his level and will no doubt find his way back to league football. He's quick, tricky and has a rasping shot. He can also play wide left which adds another dimension to his game. However he could be a little bit too much like Barnes to be of any real use to you.

Just looked, he's scored 53 goals so far this season, there is one game remaining.

Sounds like just the attitude we need. We need a prima donna to shake things up.

Realistic but not as one of two strikers brought in, would think he'd blow the budget and play with CMS or Barnes. Only need 3 strikers plus Agdestein (sp) if we mostly play 1 up top. We're blessed with attacking midfielders anyway if an injury plague hits. I like it as a suggestion but would think a free transfer vet would be more likely leaving some money for other positions

My partner works with the mother of Charlie's kid. I'll see if she can extol the virtues of the club and the town!

Alternatively if we want a cheaper version of Charlie, we could do a lot worse than Stuart Beavon at Wycombe. Having watched him on countless occasions at Weymouth I can tell you that this boy is quality and will definitely get picked up by a Championship club in the next few months.

I'm not sure a striker is what's missing from our team to be honest. Barnes has proven he is a decent goalscorer at this level despite not having the best service and CMS qualities are evident too. IMO we just need better service to our front men, more quality on the wings and a fancy playmaker to compliment Vicente.

Can't agree. We make chance after chance so the midfield are clearly doing their job, just not clinical enough when we do get to the final third. Sorry but CMS has to take some blame for this.

Heard a fair bit about him as I know a few of the guys who do the Winchester programme/match reports on website. Wouldn't be surprised if he went to Bournemouth as he's been training with them for a large part of the season, and I can recall one of their scouts being at a game I went to there in March. Winchester under Guy Butters have just ran away with that league, think they've only failed to score in one or two games this season, and they are winning most games by three or four goals.

I'm hoping we see some more of Agdestein next season, and maybe that Ben Dickenson lad too.
