Austin card in the river (who has got the best hand/team?)

I presume that you have not been to any games this season.

To put it in perspective, last week end Spurs had 21 attempts on goal, scoring once. Misses are not uncommon for any striker, even Defoe.

Defoe would get crucified down here after all those misses.

With taking the Austin gamble with a firkin of salt, at least if Austin goes to anyone we might be better offloading Dobbie to them as a replacement. I would still like to keep Macca playing a deeper role at least for this season.

We couldn't 'f***ing' afford Glenn Murray 18 months ago. You might have noticed a new stadium, new revenues of income etc, since then.

We have signed Hammond, CMS, Buckley, VICENTE, bridge, Bruno, Koooshack, crofts, Harley, Hoskins, Dobbie, David Lopez... Do we really have enough left? We will have to sell first. And it will be bridcutt or CMS which will be a big mistake.

Rather we had just signed Murray instead of Dobbie, Hoskins and Vicente.

CMS can go, wouldn't want to lose Bridcutt though

Because he is a league 1 player who is way out of his depth

Currently on target to get 20+ goals this season, not bad for someone supposedly 'out of his depth' in the Championship. Ok he might have scored a few more but then he might also have 20 goals by now if Gus gave him better support, instead he is asked to play the lone striker role, often isolated and against a couple of defenders. I think many strikers at twice CMS's price would struggle in our system.

If we look like we're knocking on the door of the top six by January he could well come and spearhead our promotion push right into the automatic places. We will go up with Austin.
