"Brighton are preparing a £4Million bid for Burnley goal-machine Charlie Austin. The striker has netted 22 times in 24 games this season. Seagulls boss Gus Poyet said, "We have a magnificent chance to get into the top 6. I'm doing my homework"

He's on a long contract at Burnley. I'd have thought they'd wait until the summer. If he carries on scoring he'll be in the Rhodes price range, unless of course they think he's going to dry up

Reading between the lines in Gus's interview in the Argus yesterday, he does seem to think he is close to getting who he wants. Hope this is "the one".

Nightmare. Would rather 4million went to ANY other club. We would never hear the end of it.

The arranged swap for Hoskins would have worked, only a loon would pay 4million for Murray who is out of contract in 18 months.
