Me and wife stayed at the Columbia beach hotel in Pissouri and ran off to Pathos to get married, then Nicosia to the American embassy and we then flew to America to get it ratified officially, don't ask.

Loved Pissouri village, but that was 2001 and I have heard it has all changed now, at the time I think it was just one hotel there, now it is built up allegedly with Russian money, is that true Justice.
Might go back for our 25th anniversary if still beautiful and quaint
Pissouri is falling apart, sadly. Some sort of slow landslide

Working illegally. I got nicked with an Yank lad both of us in the OB station he got beaten with a telephone directory next to me. I was bracing myself until the coppers found out I was British and they backed off I guess everyone hates Americans🤣
I then got assigned an immigration officer who’s first words were come and work on my farm for the three weeks before I have to deport you 🤣

Yes they are, personally I wish every young talent from Greece would leave the Greek League.
Since I moved to Germany and even before that I stopped following it as I had in the past.
Low quality and toxic, with more happening behind the scenes than in the pitch :D
This is completely off-topic, but I'm wondering if you can answer a question for me about the Greek league:

Years and years ago, back in the 1970s, I read somewhere that up until the 1950s the Greek league gave three points for a win, two for a draw ..... and one for a defeat. This rule was brought in because apparently weak teams from remote areas (or islands maybe) sometimes wouldn't turn up for matches against the top sides. They knew they were going to get thrashed so they didn't even bother travelling. The 'one point for a defeat' rule meant that at least they'd get something from it.

Now I simply believed this (I was younger and it was a simpler time!) and often told it to others. However since the age of the internet I've searched, but I can't find any confirmation that it was in fact true. So ..... did the Greek league ever have a 'one point for a defeat' rule?

Thanks in advance!

This is correct. Only your periods are a bit off.

1938-1972: System was 3-2-1 , so there was the ability to zero any team that refused to take part in a match.
During that period the Greek League was divided in regions : Athens, Piraeus, Macedonia and the qualifiers would meet at a later stage.

1972-1992: System was 2-1-0

1992-now:
Current 3-1-0 system

Saw this at Glos vs Somerset, seemed to sum up our transfer strategy.

Blimey, thank you, so I was right after all! It must have been a long time ago that I searched for it as it comes up immediately now. If I'd checked earlier I could have saved us both some typing!
