on the website it says that mcghee might be tempted to include johna instead of harding be suprised if he did that away?

looking at the cardiff team a midfield of inamoto, kavanagh, langley and mcanuff looks class to me 4 very talented midfielders all capable of scoring goals

This is the same Graham Kavanagh who played 45 minutes for the Republic of Ireland side that beat Portugal 1-0 on Wednesday, right? The same Kavanagh who has been in outstanding form for Cardiff in recent weeks, right? He's a twat who isn't half the player he was, right?

Yeah, right!

Not really, we'll still play 3-5-2 that looks defensively solid, yes we'll sacrifice Dan's better tackling ability for Jonah putting the ball on Big Mac's head - it's a calculated gamble but a good one, we must set out our stall with a plan to win the game.

With any luck Kavanagh will either be knackered after having played for a decent team, or perhaps not fully focused after the midweek glories.

Kav has been in SUPERB form since the turn of the year. He got sent off at Sheffield United when we were 1-0 up and he effectively cost us the game. We lost 2-1, having been in complete control at the time he was dismissed.

The backlash against him was fierce from the local press following that game. There were calls for him to be stripped of the captaincy, dropped and even sold.

It's obvious he was hurt by the criticism (he's said as much) and he's been an inspirational captain to the team since that point. He's played some of his best football since he came here.

I watched a bit of the Ireland game in midweek and Kav was playing the holding role in midfield. Portugal didn't look up to much, so I'm hoping he won't be too knackered tomorrow.

i hope so i'd like to see johna given a chance tomorrow but id rather harding when to left back and kerry dropped out

Cardiff 10 guys on international duty, us one.

Tiredness/lack of focus could be a factor!

Or maybe better international players could be too :jester:

I anticipate:

Code:
Yelldell

Virgo Hinshelwood Butters Mayo

Hart Carpenter Nicolas Jones

McCammon Knight

McGhee suggested a few weeks ago he may shake it up a bit and I think he's found new confidence in Hart and Jones - both of whom can cross the ball pretty well.

It does depend on the formation though. If its 3-5-2/5-3-2 then Reid will probably get the nod over Hart but I don't see Jones as a center midfield player.

So we'll have McCammon pushing their back line back. Knight pushing a full back wide and doubling up with either Hart/Jones or dropping in behind McCammon to reak havoc. Marvellous Scenes. ;) :D

I only went for that because Harts found his way back into McGhees plans recently.

How would you put out a better team? Reid and Harding? Massive difference :p

Cardiff's midfield looks dangerous attack-wise, but there isn't really a holding, ball-winning player in there, at least not that I can see.
