I don't really think that's his best position though.

It is these days. Kav lost a little of his pace after a bad ankle injury a couple of years back. He has also worked hard on the defensive side of his game in recent years. This season he has been playing a deeper midfield role which allows our attacking midfielders (Inamoto at the moment) to push forward more often.
