She has such a positive following among young women that it could discourage women from reporting such crimes because they think ''well just grin and bear it and get on with life like Katie Price has''. It's exactly people like Katie Price who should be reporting such crimes to encourage other women to come forward when it happens to them

It's an interesting way of looking at it, however, it tends to be the opposite that actually takes place. There will be a number of people phoning up the police today who have seen her speak about her experience which has made them have the strength to report it. There will of course be a few who have the same reaction as you to suggest but the majority tends to be the other way.

If jurors share your view in your OP then I would say probably not. Also factor in the under reporting by women because of those same sentiments and there is a problem. I read the article in your attachment and my reaction was one of respect for her courage.
