This rumour probably stems from the fact that we played Wolves ina closed doors friendly earlier in the season allkegedly so they could have a look at Elphick. I would be happy for him to go for £1.5m provided we signed either Ward or Breen, who have been released by Wolves, to replace him as well as Hawkins.

If true I would be sad to see him go. Was looking forward to a couple of promotions with Elphick and Lynch as the bedrock.

I think these statistics are often wrong, I do find it hard to believe that Elphick is shorter just from seeing them both.

I too found it amazing, maybe Elphick just jumps better and is a slighter frame so looks taller.

Says in BBC Gossip that Wolves after Christophe Berra, who they have reportedly been keen on for a while. He has the same frame as Elphick and plays in the same position. He is hearts captain and still very young so should cost a few bob. Could this help assuage our concerns that he is off?! I hope so .................

I'm not disputing what anyone's heard, or what anyone's source is, and it has led to an interesting discussion.

But remove the name "Elphick" and replace with "Zamora", and we must have read hundreds of posts like this a few years back, involving about 20 different clubs.

I would be guteed to see Tommy go as he is the blood & guts type of player that we need. He didnt win player of the year for nothing.

He obviously is capable of playing at a higher level so you cant begrudge him that but he would be better off staying with us for another year. Would he get in the team @ Wolves ??
