Never happened. He left his laptop logged in to nsc while on holiday with some friends who had a little fun. El Presidente deleted a few threads when he saw "Bozza's" post, just in case.

An update - the police have arrested a 31 year old man.

Good news. Let's hope they have got the criminal involved in this awful hit and run.

How was that comment libellous ?

It's probably not but it's borderline as it implies that the police have got the right man i.e. he's guilty. If he's identified and subsequently released then, yes, there can be a case for libel in those circumstances. More importantly, any comments about the man arrested have potential to be in contempt of court as proceedings are now active. Of course, that particular comment was not going to carry a "substantial risk of serious prejudice" to a trial but the principle holds - once people are arrested, threads like this should be closed. And nothing should be said about the people allegedly involved without the use of that word "allegedly". They are innocent until proved otherwise.
