OK, another defeat, and we are still in the bottom 4, but boy are we beginning to play a bit of football. I can't remember the last time I watched two consecutive games which were actually entertaining! For the neutrals today would have been a good ad for League One football, and to be honest a draw would have been a fair result. Swindon have developed into a rather good team, and it's testimony to what a good, educated manager like Danny Wilson can do, given a bit of time. For my money GP is probably a bit better than Danny, and hopefully this time next season we'll be challenging for at least a play off place. Good to see Bennett and McNulty really begin to emerge. Murray won loads, but his touch was a bit off today. If we could just get a bit more support to the front two on a more consistent basis, I can see us starting to hurt some teams. Hopefully starting next weekend!

I've enjoyed our performance in most games I've been to this season. Which is what makes the results all the more frustrating, for me.

I'm sure with the entertaining football will come wins

Swindon have beaten Huddersfield and M.K Dons this year so i didn't expect anything, the fact we deserved something is a good sign.

High up on the South Downs.
Both Col U and Swindon were entertaining games. The opposing fans said we were too good to go down. But unless we start putting together a run of wins it'll be another season long relegation fight.

What makes you think we aren't in a relegation fight already? I haven't been so I can't comment on performances, but they have got to be turned into results soon, otherwise we could be starting next season at Oxford or Stevenage.

It has to be better to play well and lose than to be shockingly bad and lose, but we all just want to see us win and load of games in a row please!

I'd have to agree with the original post. The football is a bit better to watch than last season. Just need to get rid of the last remnants of the hoof n hope brigade and we'll be on the up.

Just have to tighten things up at the back and our principled flowing football should start winning games for us.
I find it ridiculous for people to say we should just win games and that's all that matters to them. It matters to me too, but not at the expense of a certain element of class we've been without for a good long while and all been asking for. We all want survival and in the end promotion, but we have to want something to show off to friends about too.

Exactly, I need to be able to tell people I support the Albion without a pitying look or laughter..it's been a long time but I think we are on the up again even though we are down the bottom at the moment

It is a lot easier to visulise an improved 2nd half to the season if the team are playing well.

I hope that GP brings in the much sought after experienced central defender and a proper left sided midfield player and then hopefully we will see the results improve.

If football was that easy to predict then i would be canning the bookies.

Agree whole heartly with this, the number of times people say "who?" when I say I support the Albion, is insulting, I want to be proud of my team, that has got to be decent football, hopefully the results will follow, a Aston Villa supporting friend of mine even commented on how how good we looked against Southampton, those days can seem few and far between.

People wanted change & changing takes time & can involve a bit of pain along the way. From afar I can read & hear about the difference in the way we play since GP took over & it seems to be moving in a positive direction. It hasn't been long since he took over & already there seem to be a lot more positive signs & reports than negative ones. We will get there but it won't be overnight. We have just played the top 6 basically & GP has been through a baptism of fire. The players would have learnt along the way & I believe that over the course of the next month we will start picking up wins & finish comfortably mid table. Who wouldn't have taken that at the start?

I agree entirely with the OP. I was absolutely GUTTED by the result, not because we played badly, but because we didn't win the game. One thing I'd like to see us do is if we are going to launch it forward (didn't happen that much at Swindon btw) from the defence, is to try and get the midfielders closer to the forwards so we can pick up the second ball. Other than that we were really good and Forsters goal will take some beating as goal of the season from a team play pov.

We'll win more than we lose playing that way.

Once Mr Poyet finds the 1 or 15 players he needs for his squad we will be fine!!!

I do not think he will panic and bring in loads of loanees over January but i do think he will bring in a signifcant one just like Dicker was last season.

I like his style, calm and calculated and given time I think we have a real gem of a manager.....
