Good, Poyet took everything to the 11th hour after his dismissal and derailed our pre season, payback time. Make him sweat on the transfer and worry about when or if it will happen.

If a request has been handed in, then get rid. Wouldnt have said that at the beginning of the season, but the emergence of Rohan Ince and Keith Andrews mean he simply isnt as big a loss as he was before.

That and whats the point of having a player here who no longer wants to play for the club - looks like the Bournemouth game was his last for the club.

Appears to me that we've been trying to settle on a decent fee for Bridders but Sunderland don't want to compromise. He wants to leave so now is the time for the club to generate interest from other clubs who will match or better Sunderland's bid.

My understanding is that Bridcutt had been told he was going nowhere in this transfer window.

This will have forced his hand and led to the transfer request.
