I'm not wanting more people, I'm saying immigration numbers will not discernibly change post-Brexit.

you must have sore eyesAnd when Trump says its going to be a good deal, good for jobs, what do you think he means.
It won't be good for America and Britain, it will only be good for America and will be totally one sided, but the UK will be desperate just to say they have a deal they will take anything.
Also the standing of the UK post Brexit on the International stage will be totally diminished, to a level that the likes of Mexico, enjoy. While we will maintain our position on the UN security council, we will be outside of other major international talks. America will no longer seek the UKs advice on what the EU is thinking, as we are outside of the EU, so they will go straight to Germany or whoever. We will be the ones walking up and down the corridors while the main talks are on going, and then just getting to hear what has been agreed when the press conference starts.
And the other good news from today, courtesy of the Times, car servicing to increase by £70 post Brexit.
Time to get the flags out and have a street party.
At least we can still enjoy the Proms, particularly the closing remarks and music from the first proms that have been occurred. Respect to the musicians and conductors.

No .....he is an absolute no mark no matter what his view might be, at what point did you think I know 'Ian Dunt' he has some credibility lets quote his blog that'll show them rascal Leave Neanderthals, you will get a pat on the back from Nicko and HT, they'll be a disciple before bedtime ....................
weak deafeatist don't you just love themThat all makes rather depressing reading. Is Mexico in the G7, NATO, a top 5 ranked world economy? I am genuinely shocked at your complete lack of faith in our country. We are not seeking a return to Empire or the good old days .. we are seeking the same status as most countries around the world.

Do me a favour -
The Good News on Brexit They’re Not Telling You?? Really?
Hannan's journalism sightings from Wikipedia -
Journalism and other work
Hannan has been a leader writer for the*Daily Telegraph*since 1996.[67]*He has also written for various other newspapers, including*The Wall Street Journal, the*Washington Examiner, the German daily*Die Welt, the Swiss weekly*Weltwoche,*The Sunday Telegraph,*The Catholic Herald,*Freedom Today, the*Brussels Journaland*The Spectator.
Bless he really has been repressed by the leftist liberal elites.
Thank god NSC has given him this opportunity, to air his reasonable views.

What part of his article do you disagree with in particular to incur your wrath? His view is broadly similar to a family friend of ours who worked as a senior civil servant at The Home Office for many years - statements made today by Downing Street are frankly irrelevant. I know someone who works for The UKBA at Gatwick - morale is non-existent and you may as well believe in fairy-tales if you believe they're ever going to be able to deliver what people thought they were voting for last June, apparently.
If you better than them, fine.

really, all you keep banging on about with the other cry baby's is free movement , that equals more people entering the country on the current levels

Really? ... it's already falling and we haven't even left yet.
Net migration falls by a quarter as EU citizens leave UK ...The shift in migration patterns was particularly stark between the UK and eastern European countries such as Poland, that joined the EU in 2004.

So what exactly are you wanting ? the same 300,000+ per annum, how about 200,000, 50,00 and once you have some semblance of a preferable figure how can you possibly then deliver your figure without control of your borders ?
Your politics are of the left, you cannot help but see demoralised people its your miserable default setting, love to know your mates UKBA salary and his hours, then lets debate the worth of his particular view.
I know that - people don't want to come here now from The EU for some reason. If EU nationals won't come here in sufficient numbers as needed once the Settled Status system is ready, we're look elsewhere. A figure and enforcement of it is all a bit irrelevant though, as I've said.
The insinuation that Remainers are not patriotic or proud to be British is pretty boring. BTW the same status as most countries is poorer than us and weaker than us. It's the big boys who make the rules and they will write trade deals that benefit themselves, not 'most other countries'. Also France has overtaken us thanks to Brexit, cheers leavers.
Interesting article elsewhere in The NY Times today, as bit of balance from Daniel Hannan's rose tinted view on the future - https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/31/...hoto-spot-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news
People still want to come but more are leaving. Yes we can decide if we want to fill specific skill shortages treating EU and non EU citizens equally.
We are one of the big boys.
