.......and by those actions, political and social history will be re-written forever. An assumption that a previously, fairly passive public will remain that way is misguided. When the time to exert itself arrives and the opportunity presents itself, the political foundation will be shaken to the core and before they realise what has hit them, it will be too late.
Do you think we should only have people with A Level in English to be allowed on this thread , or would you accept a lower level ? . What would be your acceptable standard ?.

Anyone who has bothered to read a bit of political and economic history. Then they can try and evaluate what sort of future awaits the EU in its present format and whether it is a concept worth fighting for. The one thing that history has taught us is that expansionist plans have always been doomed to failure. It is down to the individual to decide whether history will repeat itself or will this time be the exception to the rule.
An acceptable standard would be a perspective expressed in plain English sincerely and without a reliance on cliches and links to 1980s pop music....
Oh, and it's nothing to do with who is 'allowed on this thread' is it? It's about challenging opposing views and having a reasonable expectation that a conceptual grasp of the issues will be matched by sufficient language to express them.
What's A Level English (or any other qualification) got to do with it? Do you have any point you want to make about the topic of the thread?

You are mistaking Unionist plans for expansionist. You can look to most modern European countries for examples of successful Unions, including the UK.

Watching QT last night it was clearly discussed that we should leave but for the sake of the economy, jobs, trade etc etc that we cannot and should not walk away, it will be disastrous for the country and NI.
But oh no, not the thickos, just walk away, just leave, they did not listen to a word, in the same way they did not even bother to look at how difficult and complicated it would be and what the implications are.
Except for the get the foreigners out of course.
One stupid old crow was ranting away, she didn't even care about NI, most leavers don't, these leave means leave idiots are dangerous and totally selfish, especially to our kids and their kids.
When we get a deal it will probably not be good enough, so what is so wrong with putting that deal back to the people for approval.
It's the grown up, adult and sensible way to go, unlike the infantile leavers who just cannot see the mess it will cause.

....and what kind of Brexit would sooth all the angry Brexiteers? There are many types.... How do you think this anger would express itself? What about angry Remainers who think the 2016 referendum process was seriously flawed? So many questions.... aren't there?
