I agree with you partly here but is not being able to afford food the same as running out? It's a given that basic food prices are going to rise and with the extremely high imports of fresh food in the hungry gap a no deal brexit (indeed any Brexit) is going to really harm some people and they will be making choices betweern who in their family gets to eat (already happening). This is a reality that Brexiters are going to have to own.

After not knowing form one day to the next where this is headed I am now preparing for the worst type of crash out No Deal Brexit.

I am stockpiling tinned foods, soups, pasta, dried fruits and other long life foodstuffs as well as trying to get some extra freezer space. Also painkillers and other basic medicines, hygiene products and other toiletries.

Also gerry cans of petrol.

I am so disappointed that it is 2019 in the 6th wealthiest nation on earth and I am doing this. Even more disappointed that it was voted for. It's really very upsetting.

I am in total agreement that the Brexit vote was an utter cock up, and that the needs of the people would be better served staying within the EU, and that possibly the UK will suffer serious economic damage. But let’s be honest, you are a wet liberal snowflake drama queen of the highest order?

I dont think its old news, Lord Barker was only on the R4 today programme yesterday morning stating that Deripaska has stepped back from a position of influence in Rusal and EN+ but he is still holding plenty of share capital.

The nub of this issue is the overlapping of city of London interests (money) with Russian interests concerning corporate access to City of London money markets (money) and the interests of the political/economic establishment (money).

Mandelson as EU trade commissioner reduced aluminium tariffs not long after meeting Deripaska, his PR firm continues to be employed by his firms. Osbourne received a political Donation from one of his firms, Lord Barker (now on the boards of deripaska firms) has been in the US lobbying to have sanctions lifted but has declined a parliamentary committee invitation on this affair.

So, there is your stinking, corrupt money loving, open to Russian influence pro EU establishment, telling the electorate what is in our interests.......what a wonderfully naive world you must livebin.

The poor are already suffering because of Brexit, its no secret a lot of food prices are 10-15% up since 2016, plus many foods have shrunk in size. The likes of JRM are just pretending they cares, the reality he is a disaster capitalist and can't wait to exploit others misery

If no deal happens its basically shooting yourselves in a head, imposing trade sanctions on ourselves, weakening our security, threatening the very existence of the UK and weakening our place in the world.

......and as the major supermarkets have announced they will impose a massive price hike if we leave the EU (with no deal) nobody would be able to afford to donate any food (if there was any) anyway.
