Totally agree it - for me at least - is not about the individuals, but about the Chelsea/big club syndrome.
Why do they want Paul Winstanley when only a few days ago they recruited Southampton’s head of recruitment Joe Shields. Are they trying to corner the world market in recruitment specialists?
At least the tea lady hasn’t gone yet.
Because Graham drinks coffee.

Yes but piglets pantry haven't signed a new contract! Giles and Tarquin at the Bridge are drooling over the possibility of a truffle & foie gras guest pie
That would be the end of AMEX civilisation as we know it.

Not any more. He gets a double-shot vanilla macchiato with oatmilk made with fairtrade beans from an Artisan coffee shop in Fulham that’s next door to his hair stylist.
Stylist?

looks more like a Turkish military buzz cut. Still it was probably a Kings Rd bargain @ £125

It pissed off large sections of the Big Six drooling media, what’s not to like? Big additional positive for me
What I don't like about the whole media/Potter/pantomime booing malarkey is that in Liverpool Vs ManCity...Citeh's team coach was attacked and Citeh fans daubed Hillsborough graffiti in the away end...wtaf. One quick mention on MOTD, then it's all ignored. Those actions were 100 times worse than a bit of booing.
Maybe the overreaction to what happened at the Amex was because a Big 6 team actually got stuffed...

This article takes some beating in its justification of the booing experienced by Chelsea at the Amex last Saturday. Very well written and researched:

I do enjoy Scott McCarthy’s writing. Always hits the nail on the head.

Excellent article by McCarthy - describes the whole picture not just the narrow perspective adopted by most journalists and pundits

It’s a good piece and Scott is a fine writer and lifelong Albion fan.
But I’ve watched/Listened/read a lot since Saturday and so far - amongst others The Guardian Football Weekly podcast, the Sunday Times, Radio Sussex, Laura Woods, the Daily Mail, The Athletic - yes Andy Naylor , the Argus , even the “From The Bridge” podcast (and a few other Chelsea podcasts) - and more all reported Saturday in a similar way to that piece from / We are Brighton/Scott. Pointing out the extent of the relationship , Winstanley etc and hence the heightened atmosphere and justification. And I’m sure there were others. Yes - a few outlets didn’t. A few. Or haven’t done their research . But this viewe - we’re hard done by - is a bit stale.
And it was We are Brighton on Twitter - went so far as to describe GP - as a “thin skinned money grabbing ba****d “ - which is not my idea of putting forward the “whole picture”.

If you're an Albion fan and didn't enjoy that

I can't help but think why did Ben Roberts bring Mendy out and warm him up in front of the North stand rather than the South ? It's obviously because he thinks he is the best Widow Twanky in town and that is really a level of confidence that you can only build in Brighton :lolol:
