How about Bob Crow's words when he heard of the death of Thatcher..."May she rot in Hell"!....be careful what you wish for...

I don't think Bob Cow was wishing he himself would die and rot in hell. I see you display the usual Daily Mail reader's powers of comprehension ;-)

It is interesting to note that two stalwarts of the far left have passed away in the last week and all I have seen and heard from Tories (the so called nasty party?) is respect for old political foes.

It looks like from your link that Bob Crow did say that about Thatcher on her demise, I wonder what that other very nice bastion of the left, George Galloway said when Thatcher died too. I am sure that pleasant man showed the courtesy that Cameron/Boris Johnson et al have showed to the recently deceased and to their families.

Lets see what George said.........

"May she burn in hellfires."
"Tramp the dirt down"

Mmmmm, thanks for those pearls of wisdom George, most insightful and not bitter at all, but I am confused. I thought it was supposed to be the Tories that are the nasty ones?

What, as insulting and disrespectful as having street parties and getting ding dong the witch is dead to No.1 when Thatcher died. Those that did this, give the rest of us a glimpse of them as individuals and their psyche and in that one action alone they showed to many their "degree of envy". Envious of those who were succesful under Thatcher (of which there were millions, as that is why she won 3 elections) and didn't feel the need to revel in her passing away......What sort of person parites when someone dies??? How disrespectful is that to Thatcher's children and grandchildren?

What? You mean the children that try and start coups in disparate nations, refer to people as golliwogs and appear in I'm a Celebrity. **** them and anything else born of Thatcher's black, pus filled womb.

Perfect timing....see my post above, this one.

There in a nutshell, are the real colours of the left for you. How utterly unpleasant....and nasty.

This thread is freaky. Only because it keeps staying at the top of the page and there's only so long that Bob Crow can die for. He'll be risen again at this rate.

Thatcher was an economy breaker, a toxic, spineless, profiteer who only decided to fight the Argy's because her cabinet told her she would lose the next election due to her needlessly brutal politics if she continued to refuse to send troops. Her first reaction about the whole affair was along the lines of "Who cares, tiny island on the other side of the world, not worth our while". Dennis Thatcher was an ineffectual pisshead. Her kids are archaic toffs who gad about the world offending people and allegedly committing crimes. The old witch herself lived out her last pathetic, forgetful years in houses and hotels paid for by us and other undeclared funds. So, no I stand by what I said. Hideous family with their own dark interests at heart.

Don't sit on the fence now. Tell us what you really think.

He can open up them pearly gates for Wedgie now. Leaves poor Lord Denis as the last man standing, I wonder if he'll be up to attending either funeral.

I can't speak for Herr Tubthumper and Nibble at whom this comment is targeted, but I do object to the assumption that a left-wing egalitarian perspective is driven by envy. I find this insulting and disrespectful.
Personally speaking, I have always voted Labour (in the absence of genuine socialist alternatives), but this is not through envy. Indeed, I am lucky enough to have an income considerably higher than the national average, and have been a higher rate taxpayer for most of my working life, and will have a decent occupational pension as and when I retire. I also run a successful business, for what its worth (where I recognise and negotiate happily with the trade union).
I have nothing to be envious about -- I simply believe in fairness, and equality of opportunity, and free access to decent health, education and other public services for all, and I believe that people's chances in life should not be dependent on the luck of having been born to rich parents. I would be very happy to pay much higher taxes than I currently do in order to ensure that all this happens.
I know other people with similar views who are in a similar position to me. Again nothing to do with envy.

I see Martin Perry is an envious lefty wanting to bring down the rich as well.

Phenomenal Trade Union Leader, I would love to have had him representing my interests with any employer.

A bit of a stretch to laud him for safety and keeping fares low though.
Safety measures that reduced staff would not have had his backing, and fares could be a lot lower if drivers did more than a 35 hour week for their £52,000 salary. He was very successful at maintaining and improving conditions for his members, and that was the whole of his job really.

Does anyone know where Boris was this morning when Bob died?

I don't mean to be pedantic but ASLEF is the drivers union not the RMT.
