Seems this is true, so no deductions will happen. The parent company have been issuing reassurances to Brummie fans that City will not be affected by all this.

The parent company's only asset is the football club.
The club may not have gone into receivership but the two are joined.
Its standard practise to set up holding companies.
A points reduction will follow when the Leagues lawyers have clarified the connection between the two.

Is there a points deduction for receivership ? I thought that penalty was for administration, which this doesn't seem to be.


Don't receivers just try to sell assets of a company ? If so, surely all they will do is put the football club up for sale.
