Removal of themselves from climate talks
Removal of democratic rights in Hong Kong and imposition of their own law, in contravention of international law
Invasion of Taiwan's air-space with systematic and repeated aggression, showing no respect to international agreements
Firing hypersonic missiles to demonstrate "might."
Covid
Blocked access to the source of Covid (most likely because the virus facility in Wuhan was at fault).
A vaccination that doesn't deal properly against the Delta variant thereby making their own mess worse

Xi and Putin are an extraordinary pairing of brutal imperialists. They call it Socialism or communism or some such thing but it is a systematic rape of human rights. Why are either country allowed in any sporting forum, whatsoever? You remove the Olympics, football, and gymnastics from their grasp and suddenly their media has nothing. I don't care if Brighton become ostracised in either country. These countries need to be held to account. Just shut them out of western media. They can live in isolation which will soon stir some unrest that will hopefully remove these monsters from power.

There is one thing I agree with Trump about and it is taking back manufacturing to the western world and that is because it is regulated. It also removes reliance on China and a power base that is aligned to such an oppressive regime.

Don't buy things made in China. "Made in China" is a badge you don't want to see.

China is just following the other oppresive states that have just toughed it out when accused of atrocities on individuals, states or races. look back over the last few years and you will see that rarely is there ever s world wide condemnation or action for these acts...they tough it out and get away with it and its all forgotten... just look back over the last few years, the Russian " separatists " that shot down a passenger plane, the brutal state sponsored murder of Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi Arabia, the ever horrible President Assad who happily gasses his own people and targets hospitals and the many wars of ethnic " cleansing" in Africa. there are many many more too... all there is a resolution in the UN and everything carries on as before.

Absolutely we sadly sold out many years ago, I recall buying a metal Christmas tree holder 25 years ago from a little engineering workshop on Lancing Industrial Estate, this guy was selling Christmas trees and said did I want a stand with it at which point he pulled back a curtain to a small Workshop and a pallet of tree stands, I said I assume you made these he said we used to but it’s cheaper to get them made in china and shipped over than to make them here and ship them this side of the curtain!

He proceeded to show me one of the stands that had a tiny dent he said they are all like that as the one he sent over for them to copy was dropped before he sent it

Tough to actually do. The majority of respected western brands often get their manufacturing done in China, even the so called high quality ones. They maintain quality by having their own employees actively checking on quality at the the factories on an ongoing basis. If you just do spot checks then corners will be cut. Maybe they then avoid labeling the goods as from China by not assembling the end product until the components are assembled in another country?

Many brands, including one that I am involved in importing into Aus, (available in the UK too) avoid stating that the goods are made in China. Ours state ‘Designed in California’, nothing on the goods or packaging mentions China in any way shape or form. I am just an employee, not the business owner by the way.

Tend to agree. Everyone is looking for a bargain to improve their standard of living. This drives commerce across the world and will always end up with companies and individuals looking to those supplying goods the cheapest. Someone posted “what did the Romans did for us?”. Similarly, what did the Victorians do for us?
Until people are prepared to pay more for goods and services provided by our socially preferred sources, countries like China and Russia will get away with whatever they want and stick two fingers up at the rest of us.

Britain have spent the last 20 year's blowing up the Middle East. For what? Being British it is easy to forget how we pillaged China and tried to colonise them all those years ago. What do you think has been going on at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Graibh? Is that a holiday camp? Why do we still claim Gibraltar, Falklands etc, they're nowhere near us?

When was the last time that China invaded a country? Imagine if the Chinese sailed a war ship along the coast of Mexico, which is basically what the UK/US have been doing for the last few years in the South China Sea.

China is fed up of Britain/US taking the pi55 out of them. There are two sides to every story.
