I assume you are being ironic here?

I'm sure Lazio will put Big Ron on the shortlist for coach, now he's proved his credentials.

The thing that interests me is whether we'll see him on the TV as a pundit ever again. I reckon so. Geoff Boycott thrashed his woman to within an inch of her life, and he still popped up on Talksport a year or so later...

Someone involved in football told me years ago when he was manger of Villa that he was really racist. Remember all that trouble he had with Dalian Atkinson, it was all down to that apparently.

So what's worse? Beating up your missus real bad or calling Desailly a f***ing lazy ******?

Do we have to chose?
Personally I wouldn't do either, unless I married a lazy bird who looked like Marcel Desailly!

In the UK today you will be shunned forever for using racist language, but if you do something really bad like beat up your wife, kill a dog or bugger a boy you'll be allowed back within months.

So what he said isn't that bad then? Dont think what your sayinfg is true anyway, I dont see Ron getting the Roy Whiting/ Huntly treatment and I think most wife beaters get put away now, Ron's not going to prison is he? Stop reading the daily Mail and get a life.

Boycott is proof that wifebeating is tolerated. I think Ron's career in the big time is f***ed, although he'll probably pop up on Channel 5 / Eurosport / Man Utd TV in a year or 18 months.

Southy, my above comment was tongue in cheek, you're not supposed to take it literally and I was making a general point that racism is the second worst taboo in society today, behind paedophilia. Why don't you get a life?

Barrymore got back on the telly after a bloke was found dead in his pool, I doubt if Big Ron will be back in the big time so quickly.

Pavilionaire, great Lazio joke - but you should have quit while you were ahead!

I normally avoid threads about racism like the plague but this story is interesting because it involves a football icon, a bloke who would grace any station's studio with his punditry skills and his use of Ronglish.

We all know he has sailed close to the wind on a few occasions, this is a sad, sad day for football. However, ITV had no choice but to show him the (early) door...

Astonishing to think that a man who used to call Laurie Cunningham, Cyrille Regis and Brendan Batson 'The Three Degrees' at West Brom could find himself in this sort of trouble...

The question the football public need to know, then, clearly is: "When Will I See You Again"?

FG, if Big Ron could reply I'm sure he'd say "Cor, tell you what Clive, FGs taken no prisoners and given it the full gun there!"
