Really pleased for his scoring in CL. We never thought BD would do that.
Versatile player who gives his all.

...and then some, for Newcastle.

Say what you like about the Geordies, but it's a city that lives for football.

Would love to have players play for us who bleed blue & white, like Burn (and the other geordies) do for Newcastle.

🤦‍♂️

So you don’t think for example that Lewis Dunk doesn’t come into that category 😂😂😂

My Newcastle supporting friends (and twitter generally) has been baying for BDB blood recently, not good enough for a CL/Top 4 team at left back apparently, probably very true but the Newcastle system is more about the sum of its parts rather than individuals.

They beat PSG 4-1 with Dan Burn, Longstaff, Lascelles, Almiron…. :lolol:

Of course not, not even close. Would love it if he did, but it would be incredibly blinkered to believe it was the case.

Dunk grew up a Chelsea fan. Had no issues nearly signing for Palace as a teen. We were almost certainly pretty irrelevant to him until he signed for us.

Whereas Dan Burn would have been pretending to be Newcastle legends from the moment he could walk. He would have been surrounded by people insanely passionate about Newcastle FC from the earliest day he can remember.

No need to feel bad about this. Dunky loves the club now... but to compare him to lifelong Newcastle supporters would not be accurate.
