I have a bet placed on Bet 365. It is the first bet I have placed since the 'fixed' dog race debacle of 1978.

I had to look that up (obviously). I can say with confidence 'no' because it was in the summer, as recall that I was on holiday at the time.

Ha! I thought that was what you must have been referring to when mentioning the bent dog races from 1978. Not that I was anything to do with it either, just a greyhound regular at that time and have always remembered it.
