I often find some of the lunchtime offers in restaurants, especially in Brighton as there's so much competition, rather good value for money.

National Trust membership for me. Loads of places in the UK to visit, only £80 odd quid for a year.

The BBC, supermarket beer, the post office, and not exclusive to Britain but I find the access we have to the countryside a boon.

To add, I visited Hampton court palace recently. For 18 pounds not only did I get to explore the palace but throughout the day I saw 5 orchestral concerts and 3 operatic performances in the Great Hall plus attended Evensong in the magnificent Chapel Royal and a battle reinactment on the lawns plus performances in the gardens. I thought that was terrific value.
