Hello Guys

I am a complete curry addict.
My question is. Where in Brighton or the surrounding areas, do you consider the best, or the worst take away curry to be.

Ashoka in Hove is by far the best curry house I've been to anywhere in the country, and I've been to a lot of curry houses.

Planet India on Phoenix Place is awesome. Ashoka is always good. The one down by Friends' Meeting House is well good. I don't think I've ever been to one in Brighton that didn't get a collective thumbs up (usually do at least one a week), although the all you can eat veggie one on Ship Street is probably shit - a mate of mine stayed over after eating in there and stank the lounge out with some truly toxic farts, we couldn't go in there for several days.

They only do takeaways but Spice Nutriment by the station is excellent; I wish they had a restaurant.

I've done that one a couple of times and don't really like it, sorry to say.

Hidden, unglamorous secret - the London Unity in Hanover ("the curry pub"). You can pick and mix off the menu for about £7 on a Sunday night, curries are good and you get a free pint (they do Harveys).

I know, I was very dissapointed in it becoming a "curry pub" though, it just sounds wrong.

Last time I went to Ashoka it was really good, as well.

We're going to the Raj Pavilion tonight who serve a pretty handy curry in a friendly and presentable enviornment. A little expensive but it's worth the money. Never had a problem there.

The 'majic mushroom' (yes its spelt like that) is f***ing superb.

Not Luton! Thank God
Tandoori Bites on the Kingsway in Hove. Huge portions, Great value and is BYO as well.

Also I like Indiana on Church road. Personally I found the staff in Indiana more welcoming than in Ashoka
