Very sorry to hear that.

Respect to the inventor of the Omsung Phine. In using this name (as I do) he will not be forgotten.

I was going to say that, and no more asking whether someone can play left back.

Condolences to all those who will miss him which, judging by the number of posts on here already, will be most of us.... but obviously mostly his family.

Really sorry to hear this and condolences to his family and those affected. A NSC legend in his own right. Funny, controversial and interesting. Livened you the place when it was dull. Hope we put in the display v CP that he would have wanted

Terrible news.

Was posting so recently, I had to do a double take.

Like many on here, I mainly disagreed, occasionally agreed but he said what he thought and he has my true respect.

C’mon on Saturday lads. Do it for BG....

RIP.

RIP BG. His legacy will no doubt live on on NSC with Omsung Phine being part of the NSC vernacular, among other famous BG lines.

Condolences to the family and all that knew him.

In memory of BG, I think we should go after one of these guys:
Top 10 Best Left Backs in the World 2019
Jordi Alba
Andrew Robertson -Liverpool- Scotland
David Alaba – Bayern Munich – Austria
Faouzi Ghoulam – Napoli- Algeria
Aleksandar Kolarov – Roma – Serbia
Alex Sandro -Juventus-Brazil
Nicholas Tagliafico – Ajax Amsterdam- Argentina
Danny Rose – Tottenham – England
Lucas Hernandez – Athletico Madrid – France
Marcelo – Real Madrid – Brazil

And this isn't taking the mickey, it's a tongue in cheek loving tribute

Very sad news, RIP old fellah, I sometimes disagreed with his posts but always respected the context (be a boring world if we all agreed) best wishes to all his family.
He will be missed as will his contributions on here. A sad day Farewell BG.

Me too. Floods. More upset than when I heard David Bowie had died, truth be told. And I actually met Bowie once.

I am guilty of taking the piss on more than one occasion but he's also had quite a few 'thumbs up' off of me, not that he would have given a tuppenny damn about either  :lolol:.

RIP BG.

Same here, I shed a tear or two. I broke the news to my shocked son, we often joked about @BG’s posts, in a nice way. Legend.

Such a shock and such very sad news.
He was such a prominent poster, and often controversial, but he took every reply with grace and would stick to his guns.
I must confess that as soon as I saw his name as the last poster on a thread, I felt compelled to open it just to see what his opinions were.
Deepest condolences to his wife and family.

R.I.P Brian/ Bens Grandad, an NSC legend.......NSC will be a duller place without you.

RIP BG. Someone that I never met but felt that I got to know through his postings on NSC. This board will be very much the poorer for his passing.
