Fantastic game to kick off the World Series, highlights can be found on MLB app!

Roll on game 2 tonight, hopefully royals will go 2-0 to take to New York!

Watched a bit of Game 1 last night and Alex Gordon's game-tying home run to straight away centerfield in the bottom of the ninth was the very definition of clutch hitting.

Late drama, five lead changes in the game - this is what the World Series is all about!

Not to mention the first inside the park home run in WS since 1929!

And then it's gone tits up, KC good for 4 runs in the 5th, they look tough to beat.

And how THE F**K have I missed the Royals First Base Coach with the delightful name of Rusty Kvntz?!?

It's all going horribly wrong for the Mets as the Royals win 7-1 and go 2-0 in the series.

Hoping for better luck on home turf at Citifield on Thursday.

Only consolation for Mets fans is they were down 2-0 to Boston in '86

Good comeback by the Mets with a convincing 9-3 win against the Royals with Noah Syndergaard setting the tone with his first pitch. Also Royal's Mondesi makes history with his debut in a World Series game

Bollocks, not looking good as Royals take the game 5-3 and the series 3-1. Need a miracle now

Oh my, I think that 8th innings may go down in Mets folklore. Two walks and a disastrous error.

That error was positively Buckneresque.

That was exactly what I thought the moment I saw it. Let's hope it doesn't decide the series and the fielder is not vilified thirty years from now like Bill Buckner still is.

2-2 draw after 9 innings, could be another late night. Hope it goes the Mets way this time
