The principle is fairly sound but I doubt any Albion fan would truly worry if some 'crook' offered to pump squillions into the club if it meant an end to our financial worries, bought a load of quality players in and saw us competing for honours on all fronts and ensured the club was secure for decades to come.

Well where do you draw the line? How bad does someone have to be before you say no thanks? Human rights abuser like Man City? Arms dealer like Portsmouth?

personally, i quite like barry hearn. he has invested god knows how much into orient over the years for very little return, and has turned them into a side that can easily compete in our division. and how long did that take? many chairman would have walked out after 2 years in league two with no return on their money. yet orient were down there for over 10, and are now reaping the rewards

and as a proper footballing chairman, i have never believed the fiasco that he wanted out of the league. the 4-4 draw with orient and the hate that stemmed from it was orchestrated by their management team and their players
