Agree the offer is taking the p**s and maybe intended as a (very) cheeky opening bid - but can't help but feel this sort of thing will become the norm for those clubs with tiny transfer budgets and with the financial fair play rules clamping down on all. Barnsley might also take the view that we might be looking to move some players on especially some of the bigger wage earners so Gus can strengthen the squad. OK Greer did not play in the last game at Barnsley but I think they have greatly misjudged our situation.

To be fair to Barnsley BLESS EM £100 k is alot of money to them. I mean, it's all relative, for them its the kind of money that can buy a cotton mill and a housing estate around it. To us it wouldn't buy the steam off of Greer's piss.

Exactly, let's not forget that Swindon were saying all the same things, and look what happened! We do need to learn a certain amount of decorum when it comes to other clubs bidding on our players (apart from Palace!)
