A lot of the stuff being suggested is GOOD and and even though I may not like it all, I can understand it's merits.

Therefore, I give you -

Don't know about you lot, but I'm not a music snob. If I don't like someone, I just don't buy them/change the channel/ignore them etc. Get the idea?

The exception, of course, is Phil Collins, who is pure evil and worthy of a little snobbery. He should be locked away somewhere on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Karioki Tenor "

I can only take it you did not see him live at the Brighton Centre in 2002. Superb with a magnifcent voice. Karioki ??? , been reading the snobbish music papers too much mate. Have you ever seen him sing live or are you just rehashing some crap written by an opera critic with his head up his arse.

...The Eagles. A band who detest each other but keep doing it for the money....

What was the last decent song any of the above recorded?

"Hole In The World"

Classic Eagles song that fits right in with the timeless stuff.

Great vocals from all concerned, the kind of classic Eagles harmonies that very few bands either past or present could even hope to compete with, and appropriate lyrics for the time at which it was written (in the immediate aftermath of 9/11), which still apply just as strongly today.

Oh no wait they have stopped making music, but they should stop re-releasing the same album again and again and again.

Seriously you can shout all you want it's the same f***ing song!

i once saw the words "james blunt in concert" outside the brighton centre, and thinking that someone missed a GOLDEN opportunity to switch round a few letters

I recently saw Glenn Frey in concert (again) and he played one of the songs off the next Eagles album and it sounded very good indeed.

As for the "detest each other" part, I think that is a bit of a fallacy. Sure they didn't get along for a while but they sure as heck don't need to get back together for the money. Whenever I've seen Glenn Frey he always refers to Don Henley as "my good friend." Glenn is also one of the nicest blokes you could ever hope to meet. Always reminds me of Trevor Brooking for some reason.

Kula Shaker

Ocean Colour Scene

Jamiroquai

all bring out an irrational hatred response in me.....though I really couldn't tell you why.

Russell Watson brings much joy to the same people that Il Divo cater for. I wouldn't listen to either but my mum seems happy all that - and I can always choose not to listen.

I think you may be missing the point Mr. Squiggsy. Surely Kula Shaker, OCS, and Jamiroquai HAVE already stopped making music?

Possibly not JK, but no one listens to him any more so he might as well.
