Clearly it's just us with taste Springal.

I must say that as tommy boy has rubbished most of the bands i like (though i agree with busted-related bands) i'll happily throw franz ferdinand, scissor sisters, artic monkeys and jack johnson into the pit of hell...if the bands i like will be binned, i don't want that lot being the sole provider of music.

Also think Kaiser chiefs are hideously over-rated, although they did have 2 good tunes.

i'm not sure i even dislike their music THAT much...its simply that i hate this ****

Is music that shit these days that old men can still fill stadiums worldwide playing music made famous 30+ years ago whilst not having an ounce of creativity left?

Yes it is.

People go to see older bands because, unlike many of the modern ones, they know how to put on a show rather than simply standing there and singing their latest album note for note with no emotion whatsoever. People want to go to concerts to be entertained, and the older bands, for the most part, deliver on that.

I went to see Bon Jovi a few months back and they were incredible (performing to as diverse a crowd as you could imagine at any kind of concert, I might add). It was a fun, entertaining evening of listening and singing along to great songs played by great musicians and having a bloody good time while doing so, which is surely the point or going to a concert after all?

I'm 22 and I'd rather listen to bands/singers like The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi any day than the shite which plagues the charts these days (Keane, Snow Patrol, The Feeling, Coldplay, Rooster etc...).

BTW, I'm not sure the comment about The Eagles "detesting" each other applies any more. 10 or 15 years ago it certainly would have, but not any more I don't think.

Oh but it is, without giving too much away I made arrangements for a company who were involved in their recent UK tour and have been told about the pathetic behaviour of these superstars who behave like small children in their dealings with each other.

A lot of the stuff being suggested is GOOD and and even though I may not like it all, I can understand it's merits.

Therefore, I give you -

Well, I'm sure people will still remember and recognize Hotel California (whether they love it or hate it) a long time after most of the current chart crap has long since faded away.
