Calm down mate.
For what it's worth, segregation only happens in football over here. For other sports we're expected to be able to deal with each other like normal people.
I suppose I should have added a wink emoji. I wasn't upset, I was making a joke based on the stereotypes of Canadian politeness and 'hoserness' (offering to share an essential pancake condiment and a 24-bottle case of our national beer), 🙂

Cheers!

Amazing day and result yesterday.

However, it irked me a bit to see away fans coming into the stand after the game. This is an absolute no, if they want to socialise, go into the pubs in the city centre.

Call me old fashioned but I love the tribal nature of football, so, having a couple if Wolves fans suddenly come in yesterday for beers was too far imo.
Surely if you treat away fans like adults, they treat us the same way? Humans are inherantly good. Obvs certain games it's a no no because of idiots though.

Worthing
I've got no problem with it
Although it's something I wouldn't do when on the road
But that's because I have a long memory
Ironically at Wolves (Wardy hat-trick)
When we received a visit from the home fans when they opened the gates
I remember Wolves away, mid 80s. We’d won 1-0 and were waiting to be let out when some lovely locals decided lobbing bricks at us would be fun.

Give me nowadays any day.

I love the idea of sharing a drink with away fans, it's very much a part of the day for me

I can’t honestly say it bothers me, to be honest.

The only line is probably Palace fans, but that’s to be expected.

This thread reminds me of when I foolishly posted a thread about how shit women's football is. Admittedly that was 20 years ago, but it took me a week to sit down after the reveille:lolol:

Never mind. Few of us can resist an open goal
Haha yeah I have no problem with not reading the room, but snarky responses or responses that are not acceptable or belittling, piss me off, its just an opinion. Also. I should have clarified, no problems on the train or in city centre pubs, having a chat, its just when its the patch of land that is ours I think is a no no. Anyway, enough now. Done with it.

A Wolves fan goes to a fancy dress shop to get a 70s outfit. Whilst trying on nylon flares and a big collared shirt the shop keeper asks if he wants a kipper tie. Two sugars plaaaise is the response.
I heard it was Noddy Holder.

That is an extraordinarily old joke.

Did I ever tell the one about he lady with three dogs called Bum, Tits and Willy?

(I was told this when I was 5, in 1963, so bear with this....)

She lost them when out for a walk.

Luckily she found a policemen.

She asked "Have you seen my Bum, Tits and Willy"

He replied "No, but I'd like to!"

Photobombed from another joke?

Mary had a little lamb
She also had a bear
I've often seen her little lamb
But I've never seen her bear
Mary had a little pig
And it was always grunting
She tied it to a five bar gate
Whereupon I found my coat and bid my fond farewells.

NorthstandRacoon has had a bit of a kicking on here but if the circumstances had been different he may have a point. The Wolves fans I saw in the NS concourse were obviously reasonable people, they had been on the end of a drubbing and were behaving themselves. I'm proud that Albion fans accepted their presence. But if I'm honest if it were gloating noisy away fans when we had lost I would be disappointed if they weren't made to feck-off...

A mate of mine is a Preston North End fan who tells anyone who'll listen we're the friendliest club with the "soundest" fans in the land because of how he was treated on a visit to the Amex. He'd watched the game with "his" fans before joining us for drinks like you describe and loved every minute of it. I love that we've got that reputation in the sea of plasticity and false outrage that surrounds the game. Long may it continue.

Good points.
