[Albion] Away fans in the North Stand

Amazing day and result yesterday.

However, it irked me a bit to see away fans coming into the stand after the game. This is an absolute no, if they want to socialise, go into the pubs in the city centre.

Call me old fashioned but I love the tribal nature of football, so, having a couple if Wolves fans suddenly come in yesterday for beers was too far imo.

Since the Amex opened we've treated (nearly) everyone like adults and allowed everyone to mix freely in the concourse bars after the game.

Most fans are decent sorts and are quite capable of sharing the same space with opposing fans without feeling the need to get involved in any agro.

And you're not going to find much friendlier fans than those who want to stick around having just taken a 6-0 humping.

Absolutely this. Only thing I'd want to do is get my head down and scarper as quickly as possible.

Shows out rep as decent fans if they are happy to come into the NS for a beer after the game. Nothing wrong with mingling before and after the game.

During the game tho, :catfight:

That’s been happening since the Amex opened and the club loudly announced it was allowed and encouraged. How have you missed it over the past 13 years ? It’s a good thing.

Good point. But I still find it a little irritating, maybe I should be older and transport back to the 70’s.

Yep, this. I’ve got a good mate who’s Newcastle through and through and can easily get their away tickets. Every time we’ve played them at home I’ve had a beer with him outside before the game and in the West afterwards. I’m not exactly an inclusive happy clapper either.
