Is Boy and Bear popular? They aren’t here in the states but this is one of my favorites. This particular album is a top 5-7 all time for me.

Far more interesting hearing what's been popular in Aus from Tyrone Biggums than seeing the BBC playing Gina G and John Farnham. I was waiting for the bleeding Bee Gees to show up on their programme, but got three different Kylie contributions instead. Nick Cave only got shown because he made a record with her rather than, just a for instance, because he wrote one of the finest love songs ever:

Been using this site to check who or what did chart.

https://www.officialcharts.com/

Quite surprised how many artists and songs aren't listed.

My era was the 90's and that was huge for festivals and live music. Yet most of the big Aussie bands from that time don't seem to have charted anything.

Yet a band like Wolfmother who most people thought was a bit rubbish charted.

We seem to throw the occasional huge hit single like a Gotye's Somebody That I used to Know or a Riptide by Vance Joy then nothing.

A lot of the good Aussie bands don't get much of a go in the charts as it's dominated by US garbage like Cardi B at present. Auto tune shite is ever present too.

Triple J most played charts are probably where to find the better low profile Aussie music these days.

Yes, they turned up on the programme. Apparently they had an international hit because they had a song on the Guitar Hero video game. I listened to a bit of them, decided that they sounded like Budgie and wound them on.
