It is a website that allows someone to sell photos, videos, interactions, (or subscriptions for such) direct to the consumer. Its reputation is that it is mostly used by people selling adult content, though some are softcore boudoir type content, and it has permeated the public conscious enough that some marketing people are setting up accounts. John Cena (or his people) recently set one up, I believe to promote peacemaker season 2, or possibly some other film.

EDIT: Just checked, John Cena's account is to promote Ricky Stanicky, an upcoming film where he plays the out of work actor hired by Zac Efron and friends to pretend to be the imaginary friend they had created to get them out of trouble with their wives.

It is worth noting that the actual content from Only Fans producers is nearly instantly leaked on most porn sites, so many subscribers aren’t paying specifically just for that.

It is more about the fantasy aspect; a “what if”, parasocial type relationship between subscribers and the target of their, ahem, affection.

Producers hire people to handle their inboxes, with the inevitable filthy messages and proposals of marriage etc. So members pay for “exclusive” pictures and video of their favourite girl, and get to message their media manager who replies as if it is the producer.

It is one of the greatest hustles of the 21st century.

I initially thought the same but having a massively trimmed down feed is fantastic.......loads of threads I have no interest in (or don't want to get involved in because of the way they are likely to go) get instantly banished. Sure I might miss something interesting that develops on one at some point but the very vast majority are non-Albion threads so I'm not bothered. Found it quite surprising how quickly the number of ignored threads has grown......
