Good luck to Ben and I think he has great potential, but at this particular moment in time, I think our other two are better.

If Southgate is looking at cover in defensive midfield as well as centre back, White is the man I’m afraid but the other two are more of a goal scoring and goal stopping threat.

Agreed, but some of the 33 will be carrying injuries, so need to be looked at. Better to be in the mix than not.

Personally I don't think he will make the final cut. I would think it means a good chance of getting in the post Euro squads for the remaining WC qualifying matches.

If he gets a good studs up challenge in on Maguire and Mings during training he could be doing not only himself, but all of us a favour.

He probably won't make the final squad but this is fantastic news and fully deserved. Good publicity for the club too coming into a transfer window and the prospect of signing young, talented players.

If Maguire is injured then to me it is obvious that Dunk should play. I simply can’t see anyone else who can be that commanding figure. For all of White’s strengths he is not a direct replacement for Maguire, I would see him more as a stones replacement. I assume Southgate sees Mings as that man. It is astonishing.

Chuffed for Ben. I suspect social media is best avoided today with Leeds fans forgetting he was man of the match in their first match last season and saying he learned it all under Bielsa!

It would surprise me if Southgate works out that White is the best ball playing defender in his squad, I’d even put him above Stones. If he does then Ben will make the final 26 but I just have the feeling that Southgate is not interested in Brighton players.
