I disagree. Sanchez is a very good shot stopper and dominates his area more than just about every other Prem keeper. He is not at all bad with his feet either, just a bit lackdaisical at times.

The whisper I’ve had re: Sanchez is that is has refused to sign a new contract, and has indicated that he will not be signing one for us going forward. I think he’s off in the summer, and we are looking very closely at Kelleher from Liverpool.

Sanchez hasn’t had the best of seasons, but his shot stopping is top drawer and at 25 he’s got so much potential. Will be sad to see him go.

Tierney is just like Lamptey, quick and strong for his stature but positionally speaking he is a liability defensively.
