The club has won nothing in 6 years, any other manager or club he would be gone. Time to get rid IMO.

Why? The club doesn't have the budget to win anything unless they get lucky in a cup anyway, they fact they consistantly make the champions league is a mirracle in itself.

Arsenal play pretty football in easy areas. They want to be Barcelona but lack the adventure and the cutting edge.Six years without a trophy for a club like Arsenal is a joke.Wenger is unwilling to accept that he couldn't spot a defender if one kicked him up the arse, and that his philosophy of playing training matches without goals and without tackling is fundamentally flawed.
He won't change,so nor will Arsenals fortunes.
This season will be a fight for fourth with Liverpool.

This is Wengers last season unless he wins something. His pathological refusaal to buy anyone remotely experienced has crippled his clubs ambitions. He is superb at nurturing young talent but they do not have the know how or the muscle to win anything, and all my Arsenal mates think the same. When you are paying through the nose to watch somebody experiment you expect to see some return on it, even if it is just the Carling Cup, and they cannot even win that.

He hasn't bought a decent keeper for YEARS.
.

Indeed they have never adequately replaced David Seaman. And that failure has cost them easy goals in important matches - he could have got van der Saar beforeom Fulham ffs

oh but they do have the budget. He just can't seem to spot anything worth spending it on now

from the Telegraph in february

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger handed £40m budget for summer rebuilding work
Arsène Wenger will have a player budget of around £40 million this summer and will be allowed to spend it how he chooses

Bollocks! Arsenal have won the Emirates Cup a few times in recent seasons ;-)

In the last 10 mins or so of today's game (the only part of the match I saw) Arsenal had a number of chances to make it 4-4 or even win. They missed the lot and didn't look like a top 6 team.

I remember that as well. Haven't heard one word about Arsenal, or for that matter Stan Kroenke, lacking available transfer funds.

This is either about Wenger's ego, refusing to bring in anyone (unless in panic buy mode) other than a promising youth prospect. Or it is about Arsenal's board talking big in public, but more concerned with the profit over the product.

Either way, shipping 4 goals to Blackburn isn't what an Arsenal fan should expect from their club. If you look at what has truly declined over Wenger's time at Arsenal, then look no further than defence.

Beautiful football needs to be joined with defensive steel. Poyet gets it and pays attention to defence. Wenger inherited it and has failed to develop it on his own.
