To be fair, it takes something special to get ALL the national newspapers in agreement. Even the Daily Express and Mail were totally hostile to Griffin's performance last night.

The BNP acts as a safety valve to an extent. The mainstream parties have been too busy sticking their snouts in the trough, not listening to voter's concerns, and the BNP, despite their disastrous economic, education and trade policies have been the beneficiaries.

If you look at the rise of the NF in the 70's the economic conditions were similar, and they also exploited people's fears.

The BNP councillors in the North West have proved to be spectacularly thick and completely out of their depth in holding public office. Attended zero council meetings in his time as a councillor in Stoke, and the only time he spoke it was to ask what 'abstain' means.

A safety valve are you a Nazi El. :lolol:Thats what they are saying. They hate Nick and the BNP

As for the councillors. Yes there are and were some bad ones but there are also some good ones. The BNP are a movement evolving they are learning. For example in Nuneaton one of the BNP councillors resigned. Yes he was a waste of space. The other on the other hand is extremely hard working. In public the BNP put on the spin but in private they were furious with the individual concerned.

Yes, I imagine the local white population aren't quite as stupid as Mr Griffin would like us to believe.

There was me thinking it was the patronising and out of touch establishment parties that have collectively held ordinary white working class people in contempt for years. Along with some of the middle class wannabe revolutionaries on NSC that boringly and very predictably regale us with their puerile analysis of contemporary politics delivered with the obligatory swearing and right on cliches.:wanker:

Not read the whole thread but if you want my two pen'th, Jack Straw spoke very badly which was surprising given his experience. The lib-dem guy wasn't much better. Ms Greer was coming from a different sphere but at least she is articulate.

Griffin spoke poorly, largely showed himself to be what he really is - I actually wish he'd been given more opportunity to speak on wider subjects - because he has nothing.

The only person who came out of it with any credibility IMO was the Tory lass - and I am not a tory voter at all.

Ok.

How does that show that they specifically chose the audience for that show and that it wasn't picked ages ago?
It doesnt,I never said it did, I was responding to a poster who said the audience was picked a long time ago,you really should read a post before you churn out some automatic response to what you WANTED me to have said , rather than what i DID say , does that answer your question ?i havent even watched the programme yet, i sky plussed it and will watch at the weekend, but knowing the BBC , I cant believe it wasnt slanted to the left a little.

As the BNP don't have any councillors in Stockport let alone greater Manchester how come you are so familiar with their attendance records, or do you monitor the performance of all 22,000 councillors in Britain?

I don't come on here much, and when I do it's nearly always to talk about the Albion - I spend much of the rest of my life doing politics! But I do want to make one point, and predictably enough, it was not made by the pathetic bunch on last night's panel.

New Labour is to blame for Griffin's success. If they hadn't totally abandoned the poor and disposessed in favour of subsidising City bankers and sucking up to Daily Mail readers then fascists wouldn't be able to use pseudo leftist rhetoric to con people on forgotten estates desperate for someone to take an interest in them and their problems.

The guy is a dyed in the wool fascist with a pedigree going back generations, and not a particularly clever one either. But his Strasserite quasi socialist rhetoric will strike a chord with the forgotten and the ignored as long as we have a political system comprised of three identikit Tweedledum/Tweedledee parties who only care about 'focus groups' and don't give a shit about ordinary people. The Left in this country is in a pathetic mess at the moment, there is a yawning gap in the political compass and Griffin is exploiting it. We have to get our shit together, and soon.

But please don't be fooled that Griffin - or his supporters - have changed. As someone who has been on the receiving end of fascist violence in the past (not moaning, I spoke and speak out) I can assure you the suits are purely a tactical measure!

And Jack Straw really is worse than C****** P*****.

So why are the " Left" in a pathetic state then? So you abandoned the working class and now they have turned to the BNP who went into those areas to gain support you don't like it.

No, but as I work on North West TV, and this particular gentleman is a North West councillor, it is the type of issue that is discussed in the studio.

Ah but the left have nothing but contempt for the white working class. How often do they belittle, stereotype and ridicule them despite being "left".

Being "left wing" these days, judging by their little clique on here, consists of listening to the latest indie bands, being anti-social with boring stories about their binge drinking exploits and finishing their monosyllabic rants with "end of" and "fact".

You only have to look at the UAF to see what a state the left are in. We are black, we are white, we are gay, we are lesbian, we are moslem, we are jew, :bla:

I love weyman though. Hope he joins the BNP. I need a laugh or even Tara Hewitt the transexual Lesbian. I can see her going down well in a working mens club. :D

I have just watched it on iplayer, thought Griffin did ok, considering he was not allowed to answer all the questions, and he was in front of a carefully picked audience.
as for lying suppose he does what most MP's do.
as for Baronness Warsi, the asian Tory shadow minister. she seemed to be a bit of a prat and what is she so scared of .
and why was an american on the panel

see this is the bollocks thats trotted out all the time.

the problem is the opposite, they are f***ing in love with the poor and dispossessed a little bit too much. just not nasty common English ones who dont Know Whats Good For Them.

Their previous for this goes back decades. anyone who has lived under one of their more bonkers local councils knew this would happen when they got back into power again. They have no will to address immigration as it goes completely against their natural sympathies. there are many who actively enjoy the multicultural experiment, and enjoy the problems it causes for their compatriots they dislike.

thats whats f***ed off our poor and dispossesed. and increasingly the not so poor and dispossesed, why is it so hard to get, or why does it have to be bullshitted?
