I'd happily sit in the pub on my own with a book or something, but I'm choosy. It would have to be a proper BOOZER, rather than a Wetherspoons, Hogshead or something.

So far as going to the pictures alone, yeah, if I'm bored and there's noone around. Do still feel like a bit of LOSER for not having a GIRL in tow though.

Used to go solo in Brixton, helped the couple of times the Albion were on the gogglebox..................... in fact watched last game of last seaon ( scary) in Brixton...............one other seagull in there plus a Town fan!! Got very pissed!

hate it, last friday pre-dj yoda i was at the pub 5 minutes before anyone else, i felt like a right TIT, didn't help that there was a large group of lasses properly checking me out, must've thought i was a right PERV or something

in the end i went right down the end of the bar tucked in next to two old guys and just talked to the barman about glasses

I love pubbing solo, not all the time like, but it's the best place to read the paper, and you can't get your friends involved in reading so you don't need them.

I read a lot, so if I'm not working, or in bed, the pub is the best place for it, PLUS they serve beers and I'm well into beers I am.

I can go into the Brewery Tap (just) on a match day if I happen to arrive a few minutes before my mates do (but I don't like it)

Going solo in the pub is fine as long as you have a paper and a)it is during the day or b)you are only waiting a maximum of half an hour for friends. Smoking however does not make it fine.
