I can go into the Brewery Tap (just) on a match day if I happen to arrive a few minutes before my mates do (but I don't like it)

no weird isn't it as I can glady sit at home with a glass of wine or pint but not in a pub!!

no way , i will sooner wait outside the pub or go for a walk so Im not in there on my own. Have been known when hammered to go up a club on my own to pull a bird but I think that's different

You don't like the Pub? You were having a swinging old time on Saturday!

I didn't go in on my own. The party was in full swing when I arrived. :D

I used to hate being in any drinking establishment on my own. Got that same awkward feeling blokes always get when wandering alone through the womens underwear section in department stores.
But these days I quite enjoy the odd pint in a proper boozer with just the paper for company. Doesn't really apply to busy Friday or Saturday nights though.

Used to go solo in Brixton, helped the couple of times the Albion were on the gogglebox..................... in fact watched last game of last seaon ( scary) in Brixton...............one other seagull in there plus a Town fan!! Got very pissed!:drink: :smokin: :drunk:   :bhasign:

I've watched an Albion match on my own in a Brixton pub before. Went to meet one of my wife's friends and just happened to stroll past a pub showing the match. I generously decided not to crash their girlie chat, and dived in the pub for an hour or so. I think it was called the Prince Of Wales or something like that. They've since taken the screen out, reduced the size of the public area, turned all the lights off, and gone for the candle on tables approach. Arses!

Yes but you told me that your local boozer has a women's underwear section to ease your discomfort.

No, you mis-understood. I told you I like to drink booze in the local womens underwear section.
That hole in the changing room wall needs to be made a bit bigger though, I keep getting cramp in my eye squinting muscles.

I've heard that most blokes use the hole in the wall for other purposes.
