Are West Ham that much better than us or did Sam Allardyce outsmart Poyet?

I have a feeling WHU were just more up for this than we were..

Not calling for Poyet's head at all (that would be madness) but I do think as a team we need to ask some serious questions of ourselves and GP needs to produce an answer as to what the hell happened today.

Judging from some of the reactions on here it's a good job we won't be a premiership team next season as defeats like today would be happening every week!

Some very very poor defending. Looked okay going forward.

Allardyce had done his homework against us at The Amex & by the sounds of it used it again today in the 1st 10-15 mins.

We were 3-0 down before we started playing, always difficult when you start so slowly. We've done it a few times this season, and it needs looking at.

Poyet got smashed by fat sam, clearly poyet was not interested in the playoffs.

Barnes up top on his own is a massive failure, the good points were assulin and vicente:)

Poyet tried to be too clever for his own good. No real wide players leaving Vincente the threat which didn't work. Not the first time this season he's tried it...and it didn't work then either.
He'll learn...hopefully :)

Yet again Gus tinkered with the side trying to outsmart the other manager and again we got beat, no hammered. Why does he keep changing the team after they play well, W Ham did their homework the same as at the Amex but this time the side we put out was rubbish, that midfield today must be the poorest in quality, apart from 1 player, that you could have going forward. I won't name names but those 3 can't play together in the middle, none of them have the pace to get forward and bascially they really do the same job so why play 3 when you only need 1.

I don't think we ever started playing. Sure we had possession, but that was it. West Ham weren't fussed with us having possession.

West Ham had Premiership players, we had 9 league one players out there. It was men against boys.

Not an excuse for that performance - Liverpool I would accept but not against a team that has not won at home for ages.
