Are West Ham that much better than us or did Sam Allardyce outsmart Poyet?

They were as good as we were bad. They wouldn't have looked so dominant if we'd turned up, but we wouldn't have looked so terrible against a lesser side

Yes they are much better than us. We have a team littered with average players, i.e. Dicker, Painter.

I have a feeling WHU were just more up for this than we were..

Not calling for Poyet's head at all (that would be madness) but I do think as a team we need to ask some serious questions of ourselves and GP needs to produce an answer as to what the hell happened today.

Judging from some of the reactions on here it's a good job we won't be a premiership team next season as defeats like today would be happening every week!

I thought they were head and shoulders better than us in the game at the Amex too. they scored and just shut up shop.

Not one of you has had the cojones to admit that B&HA 2012 have been lucky to be in the position you are and that you were given an object lesson in football today. You should thank whatever god you follow that you won't make the play-offs because it would be a f***ing shame for you all. Know your place. f***ing dreamers.

West Ham had Premiership players, we had 9 league one players out there. It was men against boys.

I'm sorry, but that's a silly comment. How do we get to eight in the league with a team of "9 league one players"? We need to improve for next season if we have any ambition on making the top 6 obviously, but your getting carried away.

In all my time of supporting the Albion we have always come unstuck against big physical teams. Apart from Brez, only GG is over 6ft in our team - they only had 2 or 3 that were under 6ft. To compete with players that are bigger than you, you have to be a lot better than them (a la Barca) and we obviously are not.

In response to OP Q they were far superior to us today, generally? Not sure but probably. Who's to know? We set up poorly and as the commentator said quite hurtfully on commentary "playing like amateurs ... well actually that might be an insult to amateur footballers"

We just didn't show up .. embarrassing
