We do need to be stricter with who we allow into our country and quicker to deport people.

Some cultures / faiths fit better in the U.K. than others.

Secular and moderate Christian cultures obviously work better and they have established great communities here. I’m thinking your Chinese, your Greeks.

Some not so much. The Muslim and fundamentalist Christian faiths don’t work so well. Middle Eastern and North African cultures seem to be at odds with ours.

It’s causing problems.

We need to reduce the amount of small boat crossings and get stricter and more efficient with our asylum process.

We need to be checking up on people housed in hotels. Make sure they are not working delivery jobs etc
And more importantly making sure (difficult) known offenders are sent home asap and while they are here, keep them locked up.

These people are not coming here to nurse your sick Mother. Trust me.

Something seriously needs to be done but while we have Starmer making hollow speeches to try and placate Reform voters and thus save his own career, we are doomed to fail.
Absolutely all of this i believe is the saying

Fundamentalist Islam is not compatible with any Western Liberal Democracy, and indeed many Islamic countries don't put up with it either.

"These people", which people is that and what ARE they coming here for?
I believe I listed the people I meant. Couldn’t really be clearer.

Some . NOT ALL. Are coming here because of conveniences afforded to them, perceived or real.

Free accommodation, able to work on the sly, looked after in hotels, evading justice in their home countries, sexual freedoms, lack of effective punishment for crimes- especially sex crimes, tea and scones, Eastenders.

Uhm. No.

What does the phrase “Some. NOT ALL” mean to you? 🤣🤣

I know my post was the sort of post some people feel they should be against. But read it more carefully. It’s a very balanced post.

Or was it the Eastenders thing?

The more people you have the more energy you need, so addressing how the high price of energy is an ongoing issue. Changing how the market works is under consideration.

Zonal pricing is apparently quite controversial:

Okay so tougher visa rules to fix 'broken' migration system... but what about those small boats full of military aged men floo
I welcome those in need of our help.

I welcome those who bring skills and can support themselves.

I don’t welcome criminals.

Seems sensible to me.

well it obviously means cheaper for those areas with lots of wind, or near a big power plant, more expensive for those further away. i cant work out how he says it benefits all, unless there is some thing else, other market changes. in which case those market changes are problems the solution without the complications of zonal pricing. pretty sure in another video Greg says we need large uplift in grid capabilities to support zonal (and renewables) which cost money that he presumably doesnt want to pay for.

But why on earth would anyone risk their lives crossing the channel, possibly paying thousands to a smuggler just to commit petty crime? or waste their lives milling around in an ex travelodge living off 40 quid a week?

Releasing more prisoners early despite being told no more would happen....

"More than a thousand inmates will be released early to free up spaces in prisons in England and Wales, the justice secretary has announced, as the government grapples with an overcrowding crisis.

Under the move, offenders serving one to four years who are recalled to prison for breaching their licences, will be released after 28 days.

Last week, the prisons minister told the BBC there would be no more emergency releases to deal with the overcrowding crisis in prisons."

They are only staying in hotels as a temporary measure until they can be found housing within the general population.
5 years minimum rent free accommodation with all utility bills paid for might also be an attractive proposition to people other than migrants who are finding their current economic situation challenging

Thus having a knock on effect for private renters, decreasing the amount of properties that are able to be rented out driving up prices ?

I think “Fundamentalist Christians”are not on most people’s radar at all. If you look at the definition of what that means on a site like Wikipedia it’s basically a Christian who believes in The Bible and the core beliefs of Christianity.

Yes and of course that results in young people who aren't fortunate to be able to purchase their own homes or afford rent to being forced to stay with their parents then not having children to which the solution is then mooted to the gullible to import more migrants so that they can work to take pay our pensions and take care of us when we get older .
