I've been scouting around for a deputy and our company has employed a headhunter. Today he came back to me with a couple of names of people who already worked for me.

Didn't he think for one minute that if they were appropriate for me, I'd have asked them myself?

Just how stupid do you have to be to do that?

Stupid enough to take a bloody great cheque at the end of an afternoon that he probably spent in the pub.

Obviously your headhunter is a bit stupid, but who picked him??

Well not me. I was against the whole idea as all the headhunters I've come across have been greedy, indolent wastrels ...not usually with some element of raw cunning. This guy just seems to have nothing going for him - apart from the obligatory striped shirt.

Can't remember the tie but yes, he does wear hair gel. You know him?

Pink ruddy cheeks? Pink tie? Pink handkerchief hanging out of breast pocket? Answers to the name of Rory? Needs a slap for... well, having pink cheeks, pink tie, pink handkerchief and answering to the name of Rory?

Don't these people inhabit Dwayne's World?

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I saw a bloke i know a little the other day. He works for TFL and supports Yeovil and Liverpool. He had very very smart shoes on. I couldn't take my eyes off these polished shells and had to ask why all people who work in high positions gain authority and strong voices in the cleanliness of their black leathers at the base of their stainless suited shields. He didn't really know. Just wore the uniform because he should.
I much prefer the image of my grunty oikishness.

Be a sad day if THAT image were ever tarnished.

I think we should ban people from sitting down next to bry and DKM until they've said something outrageous to further the debate.

Headhunters are indeed a bunch of f***ing wankers - they usually fail to have a CLUE about the business in which they operate. Call me Mr Thorough, but I'd have thought that knowing the difference between core skills that the client is looking for was a prerequisite, unlike wearing stupid stripey shirts, pink ties and smelling like a whore's windowbox.

Now budge up Bry - ooh cigars DKM? don't mind if I do.
