*notices paper is upside down, coughs to try and cover as he turns it up the right way, now feeling very uncomfortable, especially after Simster's puzzling outburst*
Well I dont mind saying that most headhunters are total crap, and god knows I've dealt with enough of them.
The best headhunting action that I've seen was by a guy who was fired, very unfairly, from my company.
He should have been made redundant, but somebody disliked him, so they crucified him over a minor error instead and fired him out of a cannon for "gross misconduct".
So he decided to get his revenge.
He waited until his 6 month non competition clause had run out from the end of his contract, then joined a headhunting firm specialising in my line of work.
Over a year he poached at least 15 *key* people from my company , he knew what their gripes were, found out how much they earned, how much it would take to make them move elsewhere, and he placed them all into other jobs, totally f***ing up my company in the process.
Mission accomplished, he made a fortune as he was on a large % ( 20% ? ) of first year earnings for 'pro-actively' placing non advertised roles, and he did my employer over royally.
The morals of a sewer rat maybe, but what good fun
While I was scouting around for a new job most of the recruiters/headhunters asked me if I could recommend other people - the fuckers are that lazy these days
that said, I wanted BT to suffer, so I managed to get three other people I'd have seen as pretty decent (and in one case, crucial, as he was lined up to replace me) out in to different companies. Might have been able to replicate Smart Mart's ex-colleague if there was a telecoms headhunter about
