Wasn't it the same for us and Tony's involvement with USG?

What's different between the palace situation and forests?

The article says the deadline for change was March the 1st but didn't the first owner only change his role/ownership a couple of weeks ago?

It would be almost worth palace winning the fa cup if it meant they ended up being banned from Europe while we qualified. Especially if their lost place went to the next highest placed premier league team...

Often, good or bad ownership can feel like an intangible thing in terms of what it gets you - not always easily seen in specific outcomes.

Here, however......

Forest were proactive. Palace were not.
Yes but the original article said that the deadline for ownership change was March 1st. The guardian article about marianakis is April 30th, presumably he missed the deadline?

If he did why is it okfor them but not for palace?

A lot of people including the Newcastle score in their calculations. What Newcastle do is completely IRRELEVANT.

Aside from Man City being deducted points and Palace being barred :))), there are two scenarios whereby 8th gets Conference League (providing Chelsea beat Betis):

Chelsea finish 7th
Newcastle finish 7th and Chelsea 6th.

So even if Everton win by a much larger margin than Forest, and Newcastle finish below Chelsea on G/D, 8th could still qualify.

My god that would be incredible if it happens. How incompetent of them...
To be fair, would Palace have seriously thought they would be getting into Europe back in February?

Sound like a lot of hassle to make all those changes behind the scenes.

Article is dated April 30th. But that is irrelevant. What is relevant (and not mentioned in the article) is when the paperwork for the ownership change was submitted. Given the way the article is worded, I would assume the paperwork was in ahead of deadline and then only came to light later on (it takes time for things like this to filter through to the public domain).
