See @Zeberdi above . It’s also virtually unheard of for Romano to do a “here we go” without it happening (clubs and player - verbal agreement) and the Spanish journo concedes Albion are favourites. But who doesn’t like a bit of extra drama…

six feet beneath the moon...
I don’t think this is news or too worrying - Sevilla have been linked heavily all window - by all accounts, there‘s a bit of family conflict between his dad and Ansu over where he goes (as posted in the Athletic link I mentioned earlier) his Dad who wants Ansu to stay with La Liga and sign a move to Sevilla (his Dad’s home town) has been pushing Ansu to leave Barca but Ansu seemingly has his heart set on the PL. (And Sevilla are bottom of the La Liga!)

and cannot offer european footy! (feels weird having trotted that line out several times this summer)

🔵🔴Ansu Fati is in Seville meditating @LaVanguardia
📌 Brighton: would assume 80% of the token. Transfer without purchase option.
📌Tmb met a few hours ago with Sevilla, who are trying
📌If nothing happens, travel to Brighton tomorrow at noon

Here's the translation direct from the paper which doesn't even mention Seville still being in the frame.....we pay 80% of wages.

Tense waiting time at the FC Barcelona offices. There are 48 hours left for the transfer market to end and the club continues working to close the arrival of João Cancelo without ruling out more departures. One of them is that of Ansu Fati. The stonemason, driven by his surroundings and after three days of League without being a starter, has decided to leave. During yesterday's day, he spoke with Tottenham and Chelsea. Even with Seville. But late at night Brighton came into the bid. Roberto de Zerbi, his coach, is in love with Ansu Fati and their conversation was key to convincing him. If nothing goes wrong, sources from the player's environment assure this newspaper that 10 Barça will travel to Brighton, today at noon from Seville, where he has spent the last hours.

Barcelona does not want to lose sight of it. Therefore, the operation will be closed by assignment without a purchase option for one year. Brighton assumes 80% of the player's chip, which ranges from 12 to 16 million euros gross.

Brighton assumes 80% of the player's chip

Mental. Comparison for me would be Ostigaard pre-Arsenal. Top rated 16 year old in world by some way but then not quite blossomed at the very top of world football by the age of 18/19.

Pedro was the highest projected youngster (and best player) in the Championship and is the future of our club, Fati was alongside Mbappe and the Brazilian lad at Real, the highest projected youngster in the world. So many injuries but we don’t need him for 90 minutes every single game. Plus have a lot of games. Mental.
