I can understand Murray not supporting England but to wear the shirt of the opposition is ridiculous, IMO.
Tennis-wise, he is building a bit of a reputation as a choker, which will be difficult to shake off.
He seems to think that becasue of one good year on the tour, he will be OK and won't need to work on his game

He seems very much a mummy's boy and throws tantrums if things don't go his way.
When you look at the model pro's that have dominated the game over the last 15 years Becker/Sampras/Agassi/Federer etc. you can tell they put their heart and soul into training and don't expect everything to fall into their laps.
Murray - For God sake. Break away from your parents and get yourself a tough coach to sort yourself out.

I think its obvious that most British tennis players come from comfortably middle class backgrounds and aren't used to the kind of punishment dished out on the pro circuit, or to rephrase that . . .hard graft . . . its not a world cruise with a few competitively freindly knock abouts at port and a little light practice on deck betwixt Jugs of Pimms.

Henman coped and became one of the most consistent performers on grass. So I don't think it is a class thing at all.
It is an unfair test, as most of the British players do come from priveleged backgrounds due to a severe lack of funding on the tennis front and the sport not being open to all children/prospects.

I read an article about how there are kids that play tennis, quite talented kids from the 'estates' and they play in the street or broken courts, whilst Wimbledon stands empty for the majority of the year.
There was a chap I knew from cubs (
) who was amazing at tennis for his age, but his parents couldn't afford to hire a coach and then there was a chap from my school who was crap at tennis but he decided he wanted to be a pro, so his parents bought him top coaches. Never made it!
