Andy Naylor reporting that no transfer interest in Ali J, and possibly some Championship loan interest but he doesn't want to drop down to that level.

Stuck with him for the foreseeable then :ffsparr:

Paul Winstanley that for every Ali J we have an Alex Mac I guess..

£17M down the Swanee, along with £14m blown on Locadia.

No surprise at all that EPL and continental clubs have no interest in Jahanbakhsh.

This!
His other 3 or 4 goals weren't bad either.

Technically excellent footballer.
Agree he doesn't seem to have it in him to be a regular premier league player, but...someone is going to get themselves a bargain, when he goes.
Yes, because they'll get him for a fraction of what we paid for him. Get the feeling we can't even give hm away (or loan him and get his wages off the books) at the moment.

This, and a few others who are perceived as good buys, I would suggest are debatable.

Who would you consider was a good purchase?

Webster
Bissouma
Gross
Lamptey
Veltman

Jury's out for me on
Trossard
Maupay
Ryan
Mac the mac
Tau
Propper

Players with promise
Molder
That beast of a german/ other national who has played approx 15minutes but does look handy, cant remember his name but I like the look of him.
The Polish lad

Will not recoup a lot of money on
Locadia
Ali ( shame, there is a player in there)

Propper and Gross have been incredible value for money

It is impossible to overstate how much value we have had from Pascal Gross - 14 goals and 17 assists in 108 PL appearances, for £3 million.

The recruitment team played an absolute blinder there for which they rarely, if ever, get credit on NSC.

I would accept an Ali J or Locadia signing every season if it was also accompanied by a Gross signing.

Great stats indeed. He also got 16 "assists to the assister". Counting them means he's been (fairly) directly involved in 47 goals in 108 games. 17 more than Murray in second place and 21 more than Maupay in third place.

MacAllister I think looks good.
Propper - possible/maybe
Tau - too early.

Fence: Maupay / Trossard - unconvinced
Never rated Ryan, he was okay nothing more.

Really like:
Bissouma
Lamptey
Webster
Gross excellent value, beginning to fade
Veltman - good.
